The QS Sustainability Rankings assess institutions on a wide range of sustainability metrics, including environmental impact, social responsibility, research excellence, and the integration of sustainable practices across operations.
One of the key factors contributing to this success is MAHE’s commitment to research that addresses pressing global issues, it said, adding, MAHE has invested significantly in interdisciplinary research centres focused on areas such as renewable energy, climate change, healthcare innovation, and sustainable urban development.
MAHE has implemented green campus initiatives, including solar energy installations, waste management systems, water conservation efforts, and sustainable building practices. These measures have reduced the university’s environmental footprint, it said.
MAHE aims to scale up its research efforts, engage more actively with global sustainability networks, and empower its students to become change-makers in their respective fields, the statement added.
