Holiday party season has arrived and we are IN IT. If you’re hosting anytime soon, a beverage that your guests will rave over is a must.

No worries if alcohol isn’t your thing – holiday mocktails are just as beautiful and fun to sip on! And if you are serving “adult” beverages, it never hurts to offer a non-alcoholic beverage option for anyone exploring sober curiosity or not drinking alcohol for any reason.

These mocktails are stunning and tasty, without being over the top – looking at you, TikTok viral cocktail in an ornament. If you love that vibe but wonder if people really have time to host and create a drink so extra, they DO, but you don’t have to!

Serve these non-alcoholic drinks at your holiday party.

Promise the WOW-factor will still be there (and you won’t be washing or wasting ornaments).

Pomegranate Ginger Paloma

A traditional Paloma is made with tequila, grapefruit juice, lime, and sparkling water. This non-alcoholic holiday drink uses non-alcoholic tequila (I used Ritual Zero Proof), and adds an element of cheer with pomegranate juice and ginger beer in place of the sparkling water.

This bevvie is not only stunning, but I love the subtle spice that the ginger beer brings. It balances out the sweetness and literally adds a sparkle to your drink.

  • 6 oz pomegranate juice
  • 4 oz grapefruit juice
  • Juice from 1/2 lime
  • 4 oz non-alcoholic tequila I used Ritual Zero Proof
  • Ginger beer to taste
  • Run a lime wedge around your glasses and coat in sugar (or salt if you prefer). Add ice cubes and set aside.

  • Combine drink ingredients in a shaker (or jar) and shake to combine. Strain mixture into glasses.

  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds and fresh rosemary and serve.

If you want to try this as a cocktail, just swap the NA tequila for your favorite brand of alcoholic tequila.

Peppermint Espresso Martini

The espresso martini has become one of my favorite drinks, but I have to admit that until now, I’d never tried a non-alcoholic version. Typically this martini uses vodka, but I decided to replace it with Ritual Zero-Proof’s Gin Alternative. Then I added a little Torani peppermint syrup and a splash of heavy cream – this is optional, and you can totally use a dairy-free alternative.

When I tested this recipe, I learned that shaking the mixture is key to getting that luscious layer of foam at the top. Just brew your espresso over ice in a heat-safe mason jar so it’s already chilled, add your other ingredients, and shake away.

  • Brew espresso shots over ice.

  • Add non-alcoholic gin, peppermint syrup, and heavy cream (or other alternative, if using) to espresso

  • Pour mixture into a shaker (or brew right into a mason jar like me!). Cover with a lid and shake to combine, for about 10 seconds.

  • Pour mixture into a martini glass and allow the foam to settle at the top. Garnish with a few coffee beans and crushed peppermint.

You can absolutely make this a cocktail by swapping the NA gin for regular gin or vodka.

Winter Spiced Hot Toddy

This one is warm and soothing – perfect for serving after a day spent in the snow, or around a fire. I also love sipping on this non-alcoholic drink for a…um…different kind of holiday – a sick day, spent battling a scratchy throat. A hot toddy is the perfect way to find some relief.

To remove the alcohol without sacrificing the flavor depth, I used Monday Zero Alcohol Whiskey. It’s hard to explain, but this whiskey alternative is the key to adding that layer of warmth that alcohol usually brings. You’ll believe me when you try it!

Oh and please don’t be intimidated by the spiced simple syrup! It’s really easy to throw together and simmer on your stove. Bonus – it will make your house smell amazing.

Apple Kentucky Mule

Mules are one of the most refreshing drinks out there. I’ve never tolerated vodka well though – even the thought of it makes me gag. This was sad when I discovered I love espresso martinis, and equally sad as I’ve avoided mules for my entire life.

UNTIL NOW.

Because not only did I master a non-alcoholic espresso martini, but I also crafted a mule with a fall/holiday twist…without vodka.

So, a traditional mule is vodka, ginger beer, and lime with lots of ice. To make this more holiday-friendly,  I used Monday Zero Alcohol Whiskey. Not only does the whiskey add a warmer flavor to this non-alcoholic drink recipe, but it adds exactly what the drink needed to take this from “why not just drink a soda” to a true cocktail alternative.

I also added apple juice! If you’re wondering if cider would work too, the answer is YES.

Apple Kentucky Mule

The refreshing mule we all love, with a dash of holiday spirit. And zero-proof whiskey.
