In the fall of 2020, the contentious election saw progressives claiming the COVID-19 vaccine was rushed and that the Republican president was risking lives to help his Big Pharma buddies.

They won the election and now blame Trump for everyone who died, they turned on epidemiology after a peer-reviewed paper claimed a well-known ‘miracle drug’ could work off-label for COVID-19 as well, and because the vaccines were rolled out when a Democrat was president, they took credit for it.

The left suddenly loves vaccines. Is that progress? You betcha.

It will also mean progress for America. Prior to 2021, the left hated Big Pharma, hating it was one of the pillars of the environmental movement, along with hating nuclear energy and farming. Moving away from those positions is a giant rebuke of President Clinton and Boomer Environmentalism. He created Big Organic because Democrats hated modern agricultural science, he exempted “supplements” from real FDA oversight because Democrats hated modern medicine, and even siphoned off hundreds of millions in science funding to give it to his National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine. He ended nuclear research in 1994 to thunderous applause from his constituents, which forced American to use more coal and increased CO2 emissions.

That they are now on Team Science will mean great things. You may wonder how, if just as many Republicans decide to oppose things they loved when Democrats hated them, and the answer is that Democrats control government. They may not control the White House or Congress, but that is due to a terrible economy and a Democratic candidate who made Bob Dole look inspirational by comparison, They control government. They are the career bureaucrats. While there is something nearer to political party among local employees among the 16,000,000 government employees American taxpayers have to fund, in Washington, D.C. nearly 90% are Democrats. And they are in unions. You can spend your days watching p*rn at your desk in the National Science Foundation office and the political machine is so entrenched it is difficult to be fired. 

Right now, it is easy to stall progress if Democrats oppose science because they just slow-play everything. When Democrats who are career employees inside the CDC wanted to downplay the Republican president saying COVID-19 was a concern and we should cut travel from China, they refused to send out COVID-19 testing kits. Then when his staffers forced them to send out testing kits, they sent ones with faulty reagents, making them useless.

Only when Trump told FDA to give emergency use authorization through FDA were Democrats who wanted to stall him circumvented.

Imagine what we can accomplish when all those people in opposition to science are suddenly in favor of it.

Please, Mr. Kennedy, declare you hate nuclear energy and GMOs next. Declare you hate modern safe pesticides and are going to tell Trump to use toxic “organic certified” copper sulfate on all American farms. Democrats will stop blocking those so fast we’ll have climate change and food insecurity knocked out in 5 years.
