Honasa Consumer appoints new technology chief to propel digital innovation forward

Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of beauty brands Mamaearth and The Derma Co., has appointed Lokesh Chhaparwal as Senior Vice President of Technology & Engineering. The announcement was made on January 6, 2025.

The shares of Honasa Consumer Limited were trading at ₹244.95 down by ₹7.55 or 2.99 per cent on the NSE today at 1.12 pm.

In his new role, Chhaparwal will lead the company’s technological strategy, integrating advanced tech solutions across digital platforms, supply chain processes, and marketing technologies. He will also oversee internal security measures and data protection.

Chhaparwal brings over 13 years of experience in product engineering and data strategy. He previously served as AVP, Head of Engineering at Snapdeal, specialising in developing scalable, data-driven solutions.

Varun Alagh, co-founder and CEO of Honasa Consumer Limited, emphasised technology’s critical role in shaping the beauty and personal care industry’s future, citing Chhaparwal’s experience leveraging data to enhance customer experiences.

The appointment follows recent organisational changes at Honasa, including the elevation of Vipul Maheshwari to head of Product and Data Analytics and Meetu Mulchandani to lead the Brand factory.

Honasa Consumer Limited operates multiple beauty and personal care brands, including Mamaearth, The Derma Co., Aqualogica, Bblunt, Dr. Sheth’s, and Staze Beauty. The company maintains a presence in over 100,000 FMCG retail locations across India.
