Titagarh Rail Systems delivered its first driverless trainset to the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation for the Yellow Line

Rolling stock manufacturer Titagarh Rail Systems handed over its first driverless trainset to the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation’s Yellow Line.This automated, Made-in-India trainset is the first passenger rolling stock to operate on the 18-km stretch of the Yellow Line. The event also marks a milestone in India’s urban mobility, with Bengaluru’s metro expanding connectivity. Designed for state-of-the-art performance, the trainset incorporates advanced automation, enabling it to operate in driverless mode.

It is the first stainless steel trainset by Titagarh and will be followed by two more deliveries in April 2025, with production increasing to two trains per month by September 2025.This is Titagarh’s first stainless steel trainset, with two more deliveries expected in April 2025 and production ramping up to two trains per month by September 2025.
