As part of its expansion plans in India, Rubrik, a US-based cybersecurity company, has announced plans for a new office space to open in Bangalore in mid-2025.

The new facility will combine product development, product management, customer support, and global recovery operations under one roof.

Rubrik also said it is committed to hiring talent from top universities in India as part of the expansion, according to a press release.

Its journey in India began in 2017 with the opening of its first office in Bangalore, making India one of the key early markets in the APAC region.

“India is in the midst of a massive digital transformation, and we believe there’s a huge opportunity for Rubrik to help secure its digital future,” said Bipul Sinha, CEO, chairman, and co-founder of Rubrik.

“By investing in top engineering talent, we believe we will continue to create innovative solutions that enhance Rubrik’s portfolio and support our global growth. Our new state-of-the-art facility will help meet these plans.”

In 2019, Rubrik launched its R&D center in Bangalore, which now serves as a hub for data security and ransomware recovery innovation. In addition, the company has active sales and presales teams in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

“As data grows, so do AI-driven cyber threats, pushing organizations to innovate. The rise of agentic AI presents immense opportunities, especially for scaling AI on cloud platforms. India is a critical growth market for us, and to reflect its importance we’re also innovating in operations and support to enable our customers’ success,” Sinha added.
