A recent survey conducted by Bitwise Asset Management and VettaFi highlights a significant shift in attitudes, with 56% of financial advisors expressing interest in investing in cryptocurrencies this year.
More interestingly, among advisors already allocating to crypto, 99% plan to maintain or increase their exposure in 2025.

Crypto Allocations Among Financial Advisors Doubled Year-on-Year
The annual “Bitwise/VettaFi 2025 Benchmark Survey of Financial Advisor Attitudes Toward Crypto Assets” released on 9 January 2025. It surveyed over 430 financial advisors across the US. The results reveal a dramatic transformation in how advisors perceive cryptocurrencies.
Crypto allocations among advisors doubled year-over-year. It rose from 11% in 2023 to 22% in 2024—a record high for the survey.
Moreover, an overwhelming 96% of advisors reported receiving inquiries about cryptocurrencies from clients in the past year, marking an all-time high for client interest. Among advisors already allocating to crypto, 99% plan to maintain or increase their exposure in 2025. For advisors who have not yet invested in crypto, 19% are considering doing so this year—more than double the previous year’s figure of 8%.
Commenting on the findings of the research, Todd Rosenbluth, Head of Research for TMX VettaFi said, “Based on the latest data, the future is very bright as advisors and investors gain more access and education about the potential benefits.”

Among the most important features when choosing a bitcoin ETF, expense ratio ranked highest at 58%.
Interestingly, when it comes to ETFs, the importance advisors place on subject matter expertise among asset managers in a specialized industry like crypto is high.
“When asked what crypto exposure they were most interested in allocating to in 2025, crypto equity ETFs were the favorite among advisors,” the report said.
Furthermore, 71% of advisors said “some” or “all” of their clients were investing in crypto on their own.
With over half of financial advisors now open to investing in digital assets—and client demand at an all-time high—the stage is set for broader integration into traditional financial systems.
