Trupeer.ai wins first AI Pitchfield competition hosted by Salesforce Startup Community

Salesforce has announced Trupeer.ai as the winner of the AI Pitchfield Finale, by the Salesforce Startup Community and in collaboration with Salesforce Ventures, Lightspeed India Partners, and Khaitan & Co.

“Subject to due diligence and the contest rules, Trupeer.ai was awarded a $100K investment through a modified SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) by Salesforce Ventures,” said the company in its statement.

Salesforce India CEO and chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya said that due to India’s digital maturity, it is better postioned than any other country to leverage the third wave of artificial intelligence (AI) for serving millions of underserved citizens across education, healthcare, and customer service sectors, with AI-enabled workforces becoming limitless in their capability to serve customers.

“There are no countries in the world that have the kind of public digital infrastructure that India has. This positions us uniquely to leverage the third wave of AI, which is the agentic layer, in the areas of education, healthcare, and customer service,” Bhattacharya said.

Trupeer.ai was recognised for its innovation in driving a multimodal Generative AI platform that enables everyone to create studio-quality product videos and guides instantly, at a fraction of the cost, from just rough screen recordings.

Salesforce said its investment arm, Salesforce Ventures, in the last 18 months has deployed $500 million, half of the $1 billion it committed for AI innovation globally.

Salesforce Ventures is confident in India’s potential to lead innovation in agentic AI, driven by ongoing pilot projects with prominent Indian enterprises. Bhattacharya mentioned that the company is actively testing Agentforce 2.0 with numerous businesses across India, though specific figures were not disclosed.

“At Salesforce, we’ve seen firsthand how AI and autonomous agents are shaping the future of business. We believe in fostering connections, engaging with ecosystem partners, and creating investment opportunities. AI Pitchfield reflects our commitment to empowering startups with innovative ideas, enabling them to develop impactful solutions that address real-world challenges and drive meaningful change,” said Bhattacharya.

The other finalists for the event included Nektar.ai, Alltius, Inspeq.ai and Maximor that demonstrated how AI is revolutionising industries with personalised solutions and enhanced operational efficiencies. These included solutions for revenue efficiency, smart manufacturing, financial services, accounting automation, and AI-enhanced content creation from the Indian technology ecosystem.
