External Affairs Minister to meet leadership of Spain during Jan 13-14 visit

 

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be in Spain on January 13-14 to hold a wide range of bilateral talks with his counterpart Foreign Minister Manuel Albares.

Jaishankar’s visit follows the visit of Spain’s President Pedro Sanchez to India in October 2024 on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“During the visit, EAM will meet the leadership of Spain and hold discussions with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Manuel Albares, on the entire gamut of bilateral relations and regional and global matters of mutual interest. He will also address the 9th Annual Conference of Spanish Ambassadors and meet the Indian community,” according to a statement issued by the MEA.

This is Jaishankar’s first visit as External Affairs Minister to Spain.
