Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite is top-of-the-line and available on some of the best phones in Canada, such as the OnePlus 13 and the upcoming S25 Ultra. However, the Snapdragon 8s Elite could be a new processor for sub-flagship devices.
The leaker Digital Chat Station revealed specifications for the Snapdragon 8s Elite showcasing one prime Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21GHz, three performance Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 3.01GHz, two efficiency Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.80GHz, and two more efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz (probably Cortex-A520 or a newer refresh).
Additionally, the 8s Elite will sport a Geekbench 6 score of 1,967 for the single-core and 5,826 for the multi-core. The processor scores lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but sports higher clock speeds than the 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, the 8s Elite still has a few months before it is released on a Redmi or IQOO device.
