OnePlus Open 2 might be the thinnest foldable yet

The OnePlus Open was a massive hit here at MobileSyrup, so we’re happy to see leaks about the Open 2.

Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, teased the Oppo Find N5’s thinness on Chinese social media platform Weibo, suggesting that the OnePlus Open 2 handset will also be ultra-slim. Oppo owns OnePlus and we often see OnePlus phones borrow hardware designs from Oppo
Lau showed an image of the device’s side profile, suggesting it’ll be even thinner than a sharpened pencil. Compared to other foldables, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold measures 5.1mm when unfolded, making it the thinnest foldable in North America. However, the Honor Magic V3 is the world’s thinnest foldable phone.

Following that, Lau said, “See you in February,” indicating that OnePlus could launch the Open 2 in February.

The OnePlus Open 2 might sport a titanium build, IPX8 dust and water resistance, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The handset seems incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to try it out for myself.
