Zen Technologies Limited announced it has obtained design registration under India’s Designs Act for its “60 mm Mortar Training Simulator,” expanding its portfolio of military training solutions.
The Hyderabad-based defense technology company’s new simulator is designed to train infantry rifle platoon mortar crews in target acquisition, simulated firing, and fire corrections. The system features various terrain options and battlefield conditions, along with a scenario builder for instructors to create training exercises.

The indoor-operable simulator aims to reduce costs associated with live firing exercises while eliminating safety risks inherent in conventional training methods. The company expects significant global market potential, given the widespread use of 60 mm mortars by military forces worldwide.
Zen Technologies, with over 30 years of experience in combat training solutions, has filed more than 155 patents and delivered over 1,000 training systems globally. The company maintains a research and development facility recognized by India’s Ministry of Science and Technology and develops customized training programs aligned with U.S. Army and Department of Defense requirements.
