Ricoh, a global imaging and electronics company said it is set to transform workplace technology with its latest innovations.

The new devices according to IQ Distributions Limited, the authorised distributor of Ricoh products in Africa is set to seamlessly transform the way businesses work and operate.

Richard Amaechi Ani, managing director, IQ Distributions Limited speaking at the lunch event in Lagos said, “We are thrilled to unveil the Ricoh Smart Meeting Device, a solution that is set to transform the way businesses work, collaborate, and communicate.”

He emphasised the growing need for digital tools in today’s world, adding, “These tools will help organisations achieve seamless and efficient operations.”

Ani also highlighted IQ Distributions’ partnership with DocuWare, a Ricoh company, to provide document management and workflow automation solutions.

“Together with Digitise Africa, we offer comprehensive digitisation services tailored to meet the evolving needs of businesses,” Ani said.

He explained that the Ricoh Smart Meeting Device series is now available through their extensive network in Nigeria and West Africa, aiming to reshape the business landscape by promoting efficiency and inclusivity.

Despite economic challenges, Ani remains optimistic about the demand for these new products.

According to him, the target customers, including banks, insurance companies, and government sectors, are not fully impacted by the financial distress.

However, he stressed the importance of digitisation for sectors like education, which deal with extensive documentation. “We are educating them on the need to digitize their documents for safekeeping on clouds and servers,” he added.

Adrian Cafferkey, regional sales director for Ricoh PFU Middle East & Africa, introduced three core categories of the Ricoh Smart Meeting Devices: portable monitors, laser projectors, and the Meeting 360 Hub. “The portable monitors are designed for direct and engaging collaboration, while the laser projectors offer high-brightness visuals for versatile presentations,” Cafferkey explained.

Cafferkey detailed the advanced features of the Ricoh 360 Meeting Hub. “It includes panoramic views, dual fisheye lenses, autofocus zoom, and a six-meter voice pickup radius, enhancing productivity in virtual meetings,” he said.

He also highlighted the Wireless 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector, capable of delivering captivating displays up to 160 inches from just 38 cm away.
