Telus has raised the price of its Stream+ bundles, which include Disney+, Amazon Prime (which includes a Prime Video subscription), Netflix and Telus’ own ‘Films & Series.’
Stream+ comes in two variants. Basic features Netflix Standard with ads, Disney+ Standard with ads, and ad-supported Prime Video. The Basic tier now costs $23 per month, up from its previous cost of $20.
Stream+ Premium, which includes Netflix Premium, Disney+ Premium, and ad-supported Prime Video, is now $43 per month, up from its previous cost of $38.
MobileSyrup contacted Telus to inquire about the reason for the price increase and how it affects current subscribers. However, the price change is likely related to recent increases in the cost of Netflix and Disney+ in Canada.
Telus Stream+ is a subscription service that bundles Netflix, Disney+, Telus Films & Series and an Amazon Prime membership. Previously, Stream+ offered Netflix Premium, Apple TV+ and Discovery+, but the B.C.-based carrier changed what the bundle provided in 2024. This is the first increase of Stream+ Basic and Stream+ Premium since these plans were introduced in 2024.
Stream+ is available for Telus and Koodo customers. Notably, new customers can often get discounted Stream+ prices for a limited time.
In recent news, Telus has been offering buyouts to 700 employees across Canada because of its investments in enhancing its infrastructure.
