United Drilling Tools secures ₹80.84 million order from Oil India 

United Drilling Tools Ltd (UDTL) has been awarded an order worth ₹80.84 million from Oil India Limited for the supply of 2000 meters of Large OD Casing Pipe with connector, the company announced today. The equipment will be delivered over a three-month period for Oil India’s Andaman offshore exploration project, which involves deep wells reaching depths of up to 4200 meters.

The shares of United Drilling Tools Ltd (UDTL) were trading at ₹229.03 down by ₹4.37 or 1.87 per cent on the NSE today at 2.05 pm.

This order strengthens UDTL’s position in India’s energy sector and highlights its growing relationship with public sector enterprises. The Noida-based manufacturer has been operating since 1985, specialising in oil drilling equipment including wireline and well service equipment, gas lift equipment, and downhole tools.

According to Manoj Kumar Arora, UDTL’s Chief Financial Officer, the order reflects the company’s commitment to product quality and timely delivery. UDTL emphasizes its focus on research and development to meet international standards.

With India’s oil demand projected to reach approximately 11 million barrels per day by 2045 according to the India Brand Equity Foundation, UDTL sees significant growth opportunities in the drilling equipment industry as domestic oil and gas exploration activities expand.
