Firstsource launches Melbourne HQ and AI Innovation Lab 

Firstsource Solutions Ltd, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has opened its new Australia and New Zealand headquarters in Melbourne, Victoria, alongside an AI Innovation Lab, the company announced today.

The shares of Firstsource Solutions Limited were trading at ₹353.45 up by ₹1.35 or 0.38 per cent on the NSE today at 3.20 pm.

The expansion includes a delivery centre and the new lab focused on responsible AI adoption and industry innovation. Firstsource plans to create over 400 new jobs in the region over the next five years.

The AI Innovation Lab will feature Firstsource relAI, a suite of AI-driven platforms designed to help businesses streamline operations and enhance customer experiences. The lab will conduct research in AI, engineering, and robotics, collaborating with local universities to develop talent.

According to Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group and Firstsource, the Melbourne hub will become the company’s third-largest global operation.

Danny Pearson, Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs with the Victorian Government, said that Victoria’s tech talent pool and innovation capabilities make it attractive for global tech companies.

The expansion aligns with Victoria’s India Strategy 2025-30, with bilateral trade between Victoria and India reaching $3.6 billion in 2023-24.
