Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, has expressed his profound grief over the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
In a statement, Kumaraswamy said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India, an eminent economist, and the architect of India’s economic reforms.”

Kumaraswamy said, the former economist led the nation with strength and stability “during challenging times”.
“Through his economic reforms, he earned global recognition for India. His contributions are extraordinary and unforgettable,” the Union Minister said.
