Apple Releases iOS 18.2 RC2 Along With RC2 Of macOS 15.2, iPadOS 18.2, tvOS 18.2, visionOS 2.2

Apple has just released RC2 version of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, macOS 15.2, tvOS 18.2 and visionOS 2.2 to developers.

The release comes only a few days after the company seeded first release candidate build to developers and is available to download right now as OTA update on compatible devices.

This x.2 update of iOS 18 brings with it second-wave of Apple Intelligence features on compatible devices. Apple initially started rolling out Apple Intelligence as part of iOS 18.1 release after promising them for 18.0 release.

The second-wave Apple Intelligence features include Image Playground, Image Wand, ChatGPT integration, Vision Intelligence on iPhone 16 series, Genmoji, enhanced Siri and enhanced Writing Tools.

As far as macOS 15.2 and visionOS 2.2 are concerned, these include support for using Vision Pro as ultrawide monitor/display for compatible Mac devices. This is made possible by the addition of new Ultrawide mode in Mac Virtual Display on Vision Pro as part of visionOS 2.2 release.

To update, head over to Settings > General > Software Update section of the device itself and grab the OTA update from there. Make sure you are enrolled in Apple Developer Program portal to download these updates. You can learn more about this program over at developer.apple.com.

If we spot anything new or any change in RC2 version of these, we will let you. Stay tuned to us for more on this space.
