Bharat Electronics shares rose marginally following an order worth ₹973 crores 

Shares of Bharat Electronics rose 0.68 per cent to ₹296.25 on the BSE at 10.45 AM today after, the company Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has secured additional orders worth ₹973 crores since its last disclosure on December 9, 2024. 

According to its exchange filing, these new orders encompass a diverse range of products and services, including: Platform screen doors for metro rail systems, radars, communication equipment, jammers, seekers (potentially for missiles or other guided weapons), upgraded submarine sonar systems, upgraded satellite communication terminals, test stations, and spare parts services. 

Furthermore,with these latest orders, BEL’s order book for the current financial year has now reached a substantial ₹9801 crores. This significant achievement underscores the company’s strong position in the Indian defence and aerospace sectors.
