Canada Post says operations have largely resumed to normal levels following last year’s strike.
In a press release, the Crown corporation confirmed it has “reinstated on-time service guarantees and returned to full service levels for domestic parcels” inducted as of January 6th, 2025. On top of that, it says it’s “returned to normal processing and delivery levels across the country, including in rural and remote areas.”
However, Canada Post warned that it continues to work through “higher volumes of mail,” resulting in non-standard deliveries potentially being delayed, including those for “Transaction Mail” like letters, bills and statements. It also says customers “should expect a delivery delay of several days for incoming international items,” although it’s working through these orders “at a good pace.”
The company thanked Canadians for their patience over the past few weeks and said it will continue to provide service updates on its website.
