CIAL’s new venture, Taj Cochin International Airport to open on Dec 28

Cochin International Airport Ltd has announced the opening of the Taj Cochin International Airport, a five-star hotel in the airport premises.

The property built by CIAL and entrusted to the Indian Hotels Company Ltd under the Taj brand after a global tender process, will be inaugurated by the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday, Dec 28.

The hotel underscores CIAL’s pioneering efforts to transform South India’s aviation sector. As the 4th busiest airport in India for international passenger traffic, the airport handles over 10 million passengers annually and continues to play a vital role in regional economic growth.

Located just 500 meters from the airport terminals, Taj Cochin International Airport has 111 premium rooms and suites.

S. Suhas, Managing Director, CIAL, said “The Taj Cochin International Airport is yet another step forward in our vision to integrate world-class infrastructure and hospitality under one roof. With IHCL’s Taj brand on board, we are elevating Kerala’s prominence as a global destination for travellers while upholding our commitment to innovation and excellence.”

The launch of Taj Cochin International Airport comes on the heels of CIAL’s successful ventures, including the 0484 Aero Lounge, which opened in September 2024, offering affordable luxury with 42 rooms, flexible tariffs, co-working spaces, a spa, a gym, and conference facilities.
