Deutsche Telekom Unit Joins Injective Blockchain As a Validator

Deutsche Telekom, a telecommunication firm entered the crypto-verse by partnering with Injective, a layer-1 blockchain. Deutsche Telekom MMS, a subsidiary of one of Europe’s largest telecommunications companies has become the validator for Injective.

In a Feb 27 blog post, Injective announced that Deutsche Telekom, the world’s largest telecommunications firm, joins Injective’s validator set. The partnership aims to improve traditional enterprise infrastructure with the integration of blockchain technology. It also strengthened Injective’s position as the most effective Layer 1 network.

Partnership To Boost Web3 Infrastructure and Enterprise Adoption

Deutsche Telekom is a global telecommunications leader with a market cap of $180 billion and a customer base of 252 million. It is also a component of the EURO STOXX 50 stock market index and has several subsidiaries across the globe. 

Now through this collaboration, Deutsche Telekom wants to expand its Web3 infrastructure portfolio and to complete its vision of becoming a digitalized, software-driven service provider.

On this partnership, Oliver Nyderle, Head of Web3 Infrastructure at Deutsche Telekom MMS, said,

“We are excited to collaborate with Injective to foster true decentralization. With our enterprise-grade infrastructure, we aim to enhance the security of the network for its users. This partnership aligns with our commitment to combine technology with safety and trust thus enabling secure progress for humans and we look forward to being a part of this future.”
Eric Chen, CEO of Injective, is also excited about this partnership and expressed his enthusiasm. He highlights that it is thrilling to have one of the world’s leading telecommunications companies on board as a validator. He also mentioned that decentralized blockchain systems are important for providing reliability and security, particularly in financial matters.
