On Tuesday onlookers at the Chennai airport had the first sight of a flight with Yellow and Blue in colour. It was the national airline of UAE-based Etihad Airways, which revealed a brand new livery featuring the colours and branding of its partner, the Chennai Super Kings. The flight was greeted with a water cannon salute at the Chennai International Airport.

The aircraft, which is the first Airbus A320neo to be operated by a UAE carrier and 20 per cent more fuel efficient than previous generation aircraft, will serve on Etihad’s short haul routes.
