Google Search has added a new Squid Game easter egg on its main Search page for both desktop and mobile users.
As you may already know by now, Squid Game 2 started premiering on Netflix this past week, and to celebrate its launch, Google Search is marking this occasion with a web-based Red Light, Green Light game.
To try this for yourself, all your need to do is search for “Squid Game” on desktop or mobile Google.com search page and it will show the floating invitation card from the series, clicking or tapping on which will launch the game in an overlay form right on the search page itself.
The game also features the iconic sounds from the hit Netflix tv series, which you can also turn off if you want to play in silence. There are go and stop buttons on screen which you will use to move forward or freeze, depending on whether “The Doll” is seeing or not.
Squid Game season 2, released three years after the first season, will conclude with a final season in 2025. While the post-Christmas release date may seem amusing, it certainly makes it ideal for binge-watching the seven episodes.
Google Search’s Squid Game game is undoubtedly a fun way to pass the time during this holiday season.
