Greaves Cotton to showcase EV innovation at Auto Expo 2025 

Greaves Cotton Limited, a 165-year-old Indian engineering company, announced today its participation in the upcoming Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2025 in Delhi. The company plans to unveil new electric two- and three-wheeler vehicles alongside fuel-agnostic solutions, highlighting its expansion in the sustainable mobility sector.

The shares of Greaves Cotton Limited were trading at ₹265.55 up by ₹9.40 or 3.42 per cent on the NSE today at 3.05 pm.

The announcement comes as Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd (GEML), the company’s electric mobility arm, prepares for its initial public offering. GEML filed its draft red herring prospectus with SEBI on December 23, 2024.

Since beginning its transformation in 2016, Greaves Cotton has evolved from a traditional single-cylinder diesel engine manufacturer to a diversified mobility solutions provider. The company now operates through five business units: Greaves Engineering, Greaves Electric Mobility, Greaves Retail, Greaves Finance, and Greaves Technologies.

The company has built a comprehensive ecosystem for electric vehicle adoption, including after-sales support through its retail network and financing solutions via Greaves Finance Ltd. This integrated approach aims to address both passenger and cargo mobility needs across B2B and B2C segments.

Greaves Cotton’s shift towards sustainable mobility aligns with India’s growing electric vehicle market, as the company targets to impact a billion lives by 2030 through its green mobility initiatives.
