While the price of the M4 MacBook Air went down $50 in Canada, the actual cheapest way to buy one is via the Apple education discount, which brings the cost down another $150.

If you shop online using the Apple Education Store and not the regular online Apple Store, you can order the new MacBook Air (and other Apple products) without having to verify that you’re a student. Apple removed the verification layer in 2022.

This brings the MacBook Air down to $1,249 and the iPad Air do to $749. The Mac Studio and MacBook Pro are also available with these discounts.

If you want to find a MacBook Air for an even better price in Canada, there are a few models on sale, and Apple also sells the older M2 and M3 models in its refurbished store.
