L&T-Cloudfiniti secures first major data centre client with 6 MW lease 

Larsen & Toubro’s data centre subsidiary L&T-Cloudfiniti has landed its first significant customer, securing a 10-year contract with a leading cloud service provider at its Sriperumbudur facility near Chennai.

The shares of Larsen & Toubro Limited were trading at ₹3,873.15 down by ₹43.60 or 1.11 per cent on the NSE today at 10.55 am.

The client has rented 6 MW of IT Load capacity, occupying an entire floor of high-density racks and bulk bandwidth. This represents a major milestone for Cloudfiniti, which has a total built-in capacity of 30 MW and currently has 12 MW of colocation-ready space operational across two floors.

Seema Ambastha, Chief Executive of L&T-Cloudfiniti, highlighted the strategic importance of the deal, stating it demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering world-class colocation and cloud services. The decade-long contract underscores the client’s confidence in Cloudfiniti’s technological capabilities and infrastructure.

L&T-Cloudfiniti, a new business subsidiary of the multinational Larsen & Toubro, offers comprehensive data centre solutions including multi-cloud services, network and data security, and application integration. The company currently operates two live data centres – one in Sriperumbudur and another in Navi Mumbai.

As part of the $27 billion L&T group, the subsidiary aims to establish a significant presence in India’s rapidly expanding data centre market.
