Mahakumbh Mela 2025 Live Updates: Lakhs of devotees throng Prayagraj to take holy dip in the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati

Mahakumbh, also known as the Kumbh Mela, is one of the largest and most significant religious gatherings in India. It is traditionally held at four sacred riverbanks in rotation: Haridwar, Prayagraj, Nashik and Ujjain. So, this grand event occurs every 12 years at each location. In 2025, the Mahakumbh takes place in Prayagraj that began on January 13 and would continue till February 26. Millions of pilgrims attend to take dips in the holy rivers to cleanse themselves of all sins.
