Mukundan Menon, new president of RAMA

Mukundan Menon has been appointed President of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association (RAMA), an association representing manufacturers in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. RAMA has been actively contributing to the implementation and formulation of government policies related to the industry. It is affiliated with the Confederation of Indian Industry.

Menon succeeds Kanwaljeet Jawa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Daikin Airconditioning, who led RAMA for the past four years. Menon’s appointment as President is for two years.

Menon is currently serving as the Executive Director & Head, Room AC Business at Voltas Limited and has served as the vice president of RAMA for the past four years.

RAMA continues to work closely with the government and other stakeholders on key initiatives such as the Make in India programme, developing a robust component ecosystem, enhancing energy efficiency, fostering the development of integrated cold chain infrastructure, addressing issues related to global warming refrigerants, and driving energy conservation and sustainable building practices, said a press release.
