“No meeting with Adani,” clarifies Tamil Nadu CM Stalin in Assembly

“Adani did not meet me nor did I meet him,” Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin clarified.

Speaking in the Assembly on Tuesday, Stalin clarified, “There were speculations in the media that Adani met me recently. I would like to categorically state that there was no such meeting. “ On the Adani issue, the INDIA alliance has been insisting on a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe, he added.

State Electricity Minister V Senthilbalaji had already made a statement on the issue, he said. He added that there are many rumours about the Adani group’s investment in the State.

The minister then said he read a few social media posts on allegations against Adani. The names of several State discoms, including that of Tamil Nadu, were mentioned in the posts.

As the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was concerned, there was no commercial link with the Adani group of firms over the last three years, the minister said.
