The collaboration will focus on expanding API capabilities in areas including network slicing for 5G private networks and fraud protection services. Proximus Global will utilize Nokia’s Network Exposure Platform and Enterprise API Hub to give developers access to network capabilities across its 5G and 4G networks.

Christophe Van De Weyer, Chief Product Officer at Proximus Global and CEO of Telesign, highlighted plans to complement existing communication APIs with network APIs that provide enterprise customers with new value-added solutions. Target applications include real-time fraud prevention using location data and network slicing capabilities for mass events like concerts.

Nokia’s Network as Code platform, launched in September 2023, now includes 55 partners such as BT, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, and Telefonica. The partnership extends Nokia’s API monetization strategy beyond network-side aggregation to include hyperscalers, CPaaS providers, and vertical software vendors.
