NSDC partners Axis My India map skill demand and supply across India

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) said on Tuesday that it has partnered with Axis My India to strategically map skill demand and supply across India.

This partnership aims to identify data-driven gaps in key skilling initiatives, measure their outcomes, and enhance beneficiary participation rates, particularly in underserved regions.

Through this collaboration, NSDC seeks to harness Axis My India’s research expertise to support its mission of fostering industry-driven skill development initiatives that align training programs with market needs.

NSDC will also be able to assess the impact of existing skill development programmes on beneficiaries, including their employability, income generation and social-economic upliftment.

NSDC CEO Ved Mani Tiwari said “Our collaboration with Axis My India represents a significant advancement in our efforts to identify and address skill gaps across various sectors. By utilising comprehensive data analytics, we will enhance the efficacy of our various skilling initiatives.”

Tracking participation rates

The partnership will focus on tracking participation rates, engagement levels and outcomes of skill development programmes.

Besides these, baseline surveys will be conducted to gather essential data on the current state of skill development programmes, beneficiary participation, and industry needs.

These surveys will serve as a reference point for future evaluations and assessments. Joint efforts will be made to design and implement frameworks that focus on measuring the effectiveness of training programs and their long-term outcomes.

The collaboration will involve advocacy campaigns aimed at raising awareness about the importance of skill development in driving economic growth and reducing unemployment.

This partnership is poised to create a robust ecosystem that not only addresses existing skill gaps but also lays the foundation for sustainable economic development across India, said Pradeep Gupta, CMD of Axis My India.
