No fewer than 62 Communities and 114,000 vulnerable across the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State have benefited from some micro-projects, enabling people to access basic services, social amenities and potable water supply in order to reduce high risk of infection from waterborne diseases.
Abdur Rahaman Adelaja, the Acting General Manager, of Ogun State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), stated this while fielding questions from Olayinka Kujore, the Agency’s Public Relations Officer in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
Adelaja said the projects cut across education, health and water resources and were jointly funded by the Federal and State Governments, in collaboration with the World Bank, under the NG-CARES initiative, which began in 2021.
