OnePlus 13 Reviews, Pros and Cons

That’s kind of a new situation, where Samsung’s S-series device has been the go-to premium Android phone for quite a few years running. Google played some major catch-up with the Pixel 9-series, and now OnePlus is in the conversation, too. That’s awesome.

OnePlus proves once again it's the master of flagship phone value with the OnePlus 13, despite another price increase. Battery life remains a standout feature, while the OnePlus 13 cameras, screen and software all help round out the phone's feature set. Some uneven photo brightness and shorter software support aside, it's going to be hard to find a better value flagship for less the rest of 2025.

The OnePlus 13 offers most of what you want in a flagship phone—including a stunningly bright display, swift performance, and top battery life—at a slightly more palatable price than competitors.

The OnePlus 13 aims higher than ever for OnePlus and it hits the mark. It’s beautiful to hold, pleasing to use, and it performs better than any other smartphone you can buy right now. My old complaints have been pounded into silence by an amazingly durable design and the best support OnePlus has offered. The cameras take photos that capture the action with clarity. This is a phone that turns heads, but it’s more than just a pretty face. It lasts all day and through the night, then gets back up for work after a power nap. Sound fun? Just buy it already.

OnePlus is off to a flying start in 2025 with the OnePlus 13. It aims to deliver in all areas and only misses the mark in a couple while exceeding expectations in others. Battery tech, longevity and fast charging are a particular highlight, while the camera – although good – doesn’t quite give top competition cause for concern.

The OnePlus 13's design, battery life, software, and huge power make it an easy recommendation, while its camera promises to be one of the year's best.

The 13 is, in fact, quite great on the fundamentals, offering some of the longest battery life in the class, together with speedy top-ups. No longer trailing in dust and water resistance, it's now as well-sealed as the rest, and it's even a step ahead in the build department thanks to its magnetic accessories capability.

There's nothing unlucky about the OnePlus 13. It's quite simply the company's best flagship to date, pulling together an official IP rating, blistering fast charging, and flexible, capable cameras in a way that OnePlus hasn't always managed in the past. While you might not get as many updates as you would with a Pixel or Galaxy, you'll get just about everything else you could ever want in a flagship phone. The OG flagship killer has made an absolutely killer flagship.

At full price, the OnePlus 13 does slightly undercut its main rivals, but not by much, and it requires some sacrifices to get there. I'd like to see another $100 off the price, at which point this phone suddenly makes a lot more sense. If you can pick it up with a carrier discount, or with bundled extras thrown in, it's certainly worth your time and as long as you're not a keen photographer I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The OnePlus 13 stays true to the OnePlus name by providing a powerful smartphone packed with features, and they do it at a price you just can’t argue with.
