Persistent Systems partners with Google Cloud to launch AI-powered knowledge graph tool

Persistent Systems, a global digital engineering firm, today announced the release of Pi-OmniKG, an AI-powered knowledge graph solution developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. The new tool aims to accelerate biomedical research by improving data mining and analysis processes for healthcare and life sciences organisations.

The shares of Persistent Systems Limited were trading at ₹6,184.50, down by ₹45.70 or 0.73 per cent on the NSE today at 12:27 pm.

Built on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL, Pi-OmniKG enables researchers to integrate and analyse diverse datasets from both public and private sources. The solution incorporates generative AI capabilities to streamline workflows and standardise data processing.

The launch follows Persistent’s Strategic Partnership Agreement with Google Cloud announced in June 2024. According to Ganesh Nathella, Senior Vice President at Persistent, the tool addresses the challenges of managing complex datasets in biomedical R&D.

Shweta Maniar, Global Leader of Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions at Google Cloud, emphasised that Pi-OmniKG demonstrates how AI can help organisations accelerate discoveries and bring therapies to market faster.
