Samsung India employees’ strike at Sriperumbudur to continue as talks fail

The strike at Samsung India factory in Sriperumbudur will continue as the talks between the company management, and the union representing the workers in front of the labour department officials failed to end the 28-day protest. The protest started with the suspension of three workers belonging to the recently registered Samsung India Thozhilalargal Sangam, and later given to another 14.

A leader of Centre for Indian Trade Union (CITU), which is backing the Sangam and was present in the meeting on Tuesday, said the company officials wanted an apology from them for all the things that had happened. However, the union leaders rejected this.
