Tembo Defence to set up manufacturing plant in Maharashtra, signs MoU at Davos 

Tembo Defence Products Private Limited, a group company of Tembo Global Industries Limited, is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Maharashtra government at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to establish a defence manufacturing facility in the state.

The shares of Tembo Global Industries stock closed at ₹735.10, down by ₹1 or 0.14 per cent on the NSE today.

The agreement aligns with India’s “Make in India” initiative and aims to strengthen the country’s indigenous defence production capabilities. The facility is expected to create jobs and advance technological development in the defence sector.

Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries Limited, said the partnership would help transform India’s defence manufacturing capabilities and contribute to self-reliance in defence production.

Tembo Global Industries, founded in 2010, primarily manufactures metal components for pipe support systems, fasteners, and HVAC equipment. The company, designated as a 2 Star Export House, expanded into EPC contracting in 2023 and entered the defence manufacturing sector in 2024.

The company’s existing product portfolio includes industrial, commercial, and OEM installation components. Its products are certified by Underwriter’s Laboratory Inc. (USA) and FM Approval (USA) for fire sprinkler system installations. Tembo has also diversified into textile trading and solar power sectors.
