Swansea-based marketing agency The Cusp is celebrating two years in business, reaching an impressive £1 million revenue milestone since its launch.

Founded by Jess Hickman and Louise Rengozzi, The Cusp has grown significantly, achieving this success without outside investment, aside from a £1,000 grant from the Shared Prosperity Fund via Swansea Council.

Reflecting on the agency’s achievements, Louise Rengozzi, Co-founder of The Cusp, shared:

“As we celebrate our second anniversary, we’re not just looking back at how far we’ve come, but forward to the impact we want to continue making.”

She also highlighted the determination and values that have shaped the agency’s growth:

“Building a £1M marketing agency from scratch in such a competitive industry hasn’t been easy, but it proves that when you lead with integrity, real growth happens. Our team is small but mighty, and we’re incredibly proud of how we’ve navigated challenges while delivering exceptional results for our clients.”

A Unique Approach to Marketing Excellence

At the heart of The Cusp’s success are its founders, Jess and Louise, both recognised as leaders in the industry. Jess, a recipient of Media Week’s 30 Under 30, and Louise, previously named in Wales Online’s 35 Under 35, have combined their strategic expertise, creativity, and data-driven insights to build an agency that prioritises purpose and impact.

With a client base spanning across the UK and internationally, The Cusp has worked with renowned institutions such as MBZUAI in Abu Dhabi, Mentera, Bury College, Coleg y Cymoedd, and Sandwell College. Their fresh approach to marketing strategy has helped organisations engage their audiences more meaningfully.

Additionally, The Cusp has established itself as a thought leader through its popular Marketing Heroes podcast, where industry experts share valuable insights to help businesses drive impact through marketing.

Investing in Young Talent and the Future of Marketing

Beyond its commercial success, The Cusp is dedicated to creating opportunities for young professionals. Through partnerships with universities, career initiatives like The King’s Trust, and youth development programmes, the agency is committed to mentoring, upskilling, and equipping young marketers with the tools they need to thrive.

By focusing on both talent development and ethical business growth, The Cusp is ensuring that its success also benefits the wider community, helping businesses develop with a sense of purpose and responsibility.

Looking ahead, Jess Hickman, Co-founder of The Cusp, outlined the agency’s vision for the future:

“As we look ahead, our focus remains on scaling The Cusp with integrity and purpose.”

She added:

“We’ve built a reputation for delivering innovative, data-driven marketing solutions while staying true to our ethical foundations. Our next chapter is about expanding our impact, strengthening our community connections, and continuing to help businesses grow in a meaningful way.”

A Future Built on Purpose and Growth

With ambitious expansion plans, The Cusp is focused on scaling its services, increasing its industry influence, and supporting more purpose-led businesses. By staying true to its ethical marketing principles and commitment to the community, the agency aims to redefine the marketing landscape while continuing to make a positive impact.
