Trident Group plans ₹3,000 crore investment in Madhya Pradesh textile sector 

Trident Group announced plans to invest ₹3,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh’s textile sector, expanding its current workforce from 12,000 to over 15,000 employees. Chairman Rajinder Gupta made the announcement at the “Invest Madhya Pradesh” Regional Industry Conclave in Narmadapuram on December 9, 2024.

The shares of Trident Ltd were trading at ₹38.57, up by ₹4.11 or 11.93 per cent on the NSE today at 2:10 pm.

During a one-to-one meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Gupta discussed potential investment and industrial expansion opportunities. The company has already invested ₹5,000 crore in the State, with its finished products currently exported to 122 countries.

Gupta highlighted the company’s commitment to local development, emphasising that 50 per cent of new employment opportunities will be reserved for women. He praised the State’s potential for sustainable growth, particularly in solar and wind energy development.

Trident Ltd, headquartered in Ludhiana, Punjab, is a vertically integrated company specialising in textiles and paper manufacturing. The organisation operates manufacturing facilities in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, serving a global clientele with products including towels, yarns, bedsheets, and paper.

The investment signals Trident’s continued expansion and confidence in Madhya Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem.
