Uttar Pradesh enters global French fries market with ₹750 crore Agristo-Wave plant

After Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh is stepping into the global French fries market, with India emerging as a major exporter in recent years.

On Sunday, the foundation was laid for a French fries plant in Bijnor, a joint venture between Belgium’s Agristo and India’s Wave Group.

With an investment of 750 crore rupees, the plant will produce 80,000 tonnes of French fries annually, with 70% designated for export.
