Vi launches unlimited data plan for individual customers

Vodafone Idea (Vi) announced the launch of Nonstop Hero, an unlimited data plan for individual use on January 13. Intended for personal usage only, the plan provides unlimited data, voice calls and 100 SMS per day, with OTT benefits, to prepaid customers.

Initally, the plan will be available in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, with benefits varying across recharge packs to suit different customer needs.

Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer of Vi said, “With the launch of Nonstop Hero, we are setting a new benchmark in data access and empowering our users to make the most of their digital experiences without any interruptions.”

Earlier in January, Vi had updated its Super Hero packs to provide unlimited access to data between 12AM and 12PM in addition to the 2GB daily quota for the remaining hours. The pack also allowed users to carry forward unused weekly data for the weekend and offered 1GB emergency data top-up twice a month.

Shortly after, Akshaya Moondra, Chief Executive Officer of Vi, promised an elevated experience in 2025 with “first-of-their-kind tariff plans” customised to user needs.

As per IIFL Capital report, Vi lost 1.97 million subscribers in October and is assumed to lose 5 million subscribers in the third quarter. However, the telco’s ARPU and revenue are estimated to grow around 6 per cent and 3 per cent respectively during the same time, led by residual benefits from tariff hikes.
