Who Am I? Dec 15, 2024

Here’s a challenge. Using the five clues below, identify the company that is being talked about here.

1 With lower penetration rate in India, my industry is poised for exponential growth in the near future. I continue to be one of the largest in my industry, trying hard to maintain my market share.

2 My current MD has been associated with me since inception, couple of decades ago. My founder MD, who is no more with me, is currently attempting his next entrepreneurial venture despite his age, by setting up a competing firm.

3 Backed by more than 15,000 employees contributing an average of about ₹1 crore to my revenue, my brand is widely recognised as a household name in my industry.

4 Since control-change over six years ago, my valuation has gone up over four times though my current price is almost half of the same three years ago.

5 About 97.5 per cent of my ownership is with less than 500 shareholders, though I have more than 1.5 lakh shareholders. While I have marquee names as promoters, I am yet to gain meaningful retail shareholder following.
