WTCA terminated 13 licenses held by World Trade Center in India

The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) has terminated 13 licenses held by WTC Noida Development Pvt. Ltd and Spire Techpark Ltd effective February 19, 2025. The termination affects World Trade Center branded properties in Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Faridabad, GIFT City, Lucknow, Noida, Noida CBD, Patna, Surat, Vadodara, and Varanasi.

According to WTCA, the decision follows “numerous material violations” of license agreements and failure to comply with the association’s bylaws. A spokesperson cited “significant problems” in the companies’ business development that have “adversely affected the reputation” of the WTCA brand.

The New York-based WTCA emphasized that it is not involved in developing or financing projects of its licensees, nor does it hold any ownership stake or profit share in their businesses. The non-profit organization clarified that it only licenses the World Trade Center brand to members.

WTCA operates a global network spanning nearly 100 countries with over 300 member organizations. The association focuses on facilitating international trade and investment through its member network.
